About

My Story

I am the owner and principal of Conscious Endeavor, LLC. I am a research-focused health psychologist. I have worked as a professor, researcher and consultant. My experience includes academic, non-profit, philanthropic and corporate settings. I have specialized in work on gender and well being, evidence-based change, diversity and inclusion and community change.

I am also a wife and mother of three small children. After years of researching the relationship between stress, coping and mental health, I decided to focus on applying the vast amount of information available about stress and mental health to improve lives. As a person expert in the relationship between coping with stress and well being, I was surprised by how several personal transitions and losses took a toll on my own sense of well being. I started to apply my academic understanding to my own life restructuring. I made some small and some radical changes to my own approach to coping with my daily demands and my mental health improved. I based these changes on years of research focused on coping and mental health especially among women and ethnic minorities. These transitions happened as I worked with students, clients and organizations and I started to apply some of the strategies to my ongoing work. In 2016, a leap year, I full on made Conscious Endeavor my professional project.

My intention is for you to find resources to help to promote well being in the form of workshops, assessment tools and opportunities for individual coaching. My team and I look forward to working with you.
