Our Vision
At Conscious Endeavor we envision a world where knowledge is applied to support individuals who are seeking a sense of balance and well being.
Our Mission
Our mission is to apply an evidence base of knowledge to help individuals and systems to address specific challenges. We know that the way individuals and systems adapt to stress is directly related to well being. We assess the current state of the problem and develop effective approaches tailored to the client.
Our Approach
- Assess the problem using an integrated framework
- Consult with client to share feedback
- Set priorities for action in our work
- Develop an approach for conscious action
- Develop a forward vision
Many consultants start with the work of visioning. However, we believe that many common challenges clients present with can “cloud” their vision. Therefore, we consider developing a vision to move forward as one of the final steps of our work together.
Those who benefit from the services of Conscious Endeavor include clients from all walks of life. We have worked with individuals making decisions around work and life balance transitions. We have also worked with organizations and other systems seeking to improve their effectiveness and promote a diverse, healthy and thriving environment.
Examples of Typical Individual Challenges
- I feel like I am not living up to my potential in my current relationship, job, (other life circumstances).
- Ever since I (had a baby/got divorced/started grieving the loss of a parent) my priorities seem out of balance and I can’t make sense of it.
- I spend most of my time putting out fires at home and work and I am exhausted.
- My stressful work environment is not a good fit for people like me (fill in the blank: women, gender)
Examples System (Organizational) Challenges
- The system does not effectively respond to change and challenges.
- The organization does not seem to work for everyone—only certain types of people succeed here.
- The organization lacks a vision for how to create an environment for individuals to thrive.
Some of Our Learning
- Often “the problem” has a different root cause than the client expected.
- Small changes in thinking and behaviors can have a big return.
- Systems (workplace teams, families) can adapt and change when given effective support and feedback.
With proper strategy, individuals in systems can consciously create environments that work better for everyone.
